In a globally connected worldly context in which technological innovation progresses almost every sector of societies and cultural environments, art is crucial as autonomous and diffusive phenomena that engage with both natural and artificial processes of change.
Our consortium proposes a series of remote Interludes from 17 September until 20 December, which will take place in Zagreb (CR), Liepaja (LV), Kuopio (FI), Bergen (NO), Berlin (DE) and Marseille (FR).
Taking place at the end of the project, Interludes is not a conclusive chapter but rather a series of artistic acts, opening new perspectives and visions. We focus on issues relating to near-future prospects for the diverse and growing city, its reinvention through the change of use of public space incurred by the current sanitary crisis, but also the urgent need to make our cities more durable, more livable, and more connected to nature. Under this umbrella, we revisit our curatorial concepts Future DiverCitizens, Future DiverSocieties and Future DiverSystems four years after their first definition in 2016.
